Keep Roaches and Spiders Out of Your House

If it is now summer, it is best to apply an outside spray to keep roaches and spiders out of your house when it starts to cool off this fall.
Bugs don't make any heat to keep themselves warm. They don't have jackets to put on or sweaters. They migrate to warm, wet areas. Warm because they are cold-blooded and wet because they need to find water in the desert.
These are keys when to apply chemicals for controlling roaches and spiders that are outside and want to come in.

First of all, control your garbage. If you can smell your garbage, so can roaches. I know this sounds silly but wash your garbage. Do you just put cans and jars outside in your recyclables unrinsed? Do you put meat packaging or fish packaging in your garbage? There is food in them. The food will
decompose. When it decomposes it starts to smell. Bugs like roaches can smell things you can't. If you can smell it, it is like smelling a bakery to roaches! Wash cans, bottles, packages that had food in them. If they have lids, screw the lids on tight.

Prelude contains Permethrin used by professionals.
Prelude is a good home insect control chemical. It contains Permethrin, one of the chemicals used in the professional pest control industry.

Spray around the outside of your home in a solid band about 12 inches above the soil surface and down to the soil. This creates a "poison barrier" they have to cross to get inside your home.

Focus your sprays inside your home in areas where there is moisture and keep your sprays away from pets or children; under cabinets where there are sinks, laundry room behind the appliances.

Always read the label!
