Spinosad is one of the few effective organic controls for Western Flower thrips. For this reason it is a good product for use on developing nectarine fruits to prevent scarring of the fruit. It is also pretty good on leafhoppers when they are young.
Thrips damage to nectarine fruit. |
It is highly recommended to use it in rotation (apply other products in succession with Spinosad, in other words
don't use it over and over without applying other insecticides) with sprays such as Neem or insecticidal soap. The sprays must be applied to the fruit if you want to protect the fruit. Always read the label or call us if you have questions.
Use it on:
- Nectarines - thrips
- Roses - thrips
- Grapes - leafhoppers
This particular formulation of Spinosad is in a ready to use bottle. |
- Spray early in the morning just as the sun is rising or wait until dusk when the sun is setting.
- Spray when there is no wind. It will be more effective for you and land where you spray it and safer for the good insects out there as well.
