Viragrow to Host Bogging Class on July 5

A class on the introduction to garden blogging will be given on Saturday, July 5 at Viragrow in North Las Vegas. Garden bloggers Bob Morris and April Asher will be giving the class. It is open to the public and free but we are hoping you will notify us if you are attending so we can accommodate you.

Let us know at info@viragrow.com

Our meeting room here will support 10 to 12 students with laptops. The classroom has internet available. Students are asked to bring a laptop so we can begin blogging! You will be taught how to set up your account at Blogger or WordPress, how to post, post pictures, post videos and write interesting postings.

Visit these blogs in preparation for the class:
Xtremehorticulture of the Desert on Blogger http://xtremehorticulture.blogspot.com/
Artistic Gardener on WordPress http://artisticgardener.wordpress.com/

Other social media will also be covered including Pinterest, Twitter, Youtube, Reddit, Facebook and show you how these can be linked together in social media. You will be taught how to get people interested in reading your blog using some simple techniques.

Our group is committed to celebrating our mutual interest in home gardening while respecting our differences in how we garden in the desert.

  1. I wanted to come to this class, but there is no time listed for when it started. I sent an email at 8 this morning but figure it was too short notice for anyone to get back to me with a start time. I saw the vegetable bed building class started at 9, so thought this one might be starting at 10 (its 10 right now). I am in Henderson, so coming to North Las Vegas takes a little time. I hope to make the next class! I wanted to come to this one. Please post a start time so we know when to make it over. Thank you for teaching these classes for free and supporting the community!
