Class on Vegetable Raised Bed Construction and Mangement July 5

Our small group meeting at Viragrow decided to have a garden get together scheduled for Saturday, July 5, at 9 am in Viragrow's meeting room. It is open to the public and free.
Group meeting at Viragrow. The group has varied interests from growing food to health concerns from the food we grow and eat and feeding the hungry here in Las Vegas. Missing from the picture are Rhonda Killough and Bob Morris.
I hate to call it a class per se but more of a discussion about raised bed gardening. We will be inspecting Viragrow's vegetable raised beds and containers to see how they were constructed. From that we will make some recommendations on improvements and looking at current problems on tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, melons, corn and other vegetables and herbs.

The meeting space will hold about 15 people comfortably but we will be outside inspecting the beds and looking for solutions to problems. Following this get together we will be holding an introductory class to garden blogging from 10 am to noon.
